is there a charting program which is easy to use, is free, and is able to update its prices?

all the free charting programs i have seen (i.e. ninjatrader) wont update the stock prices, and therefore have terrible charts.

I understand that tips are "for waiters", so this is not asking for suggestions.

my question is "where can i learn some strategies, and learn about the fundamentals of day-trading?"
